Sodium Metabisulfite for Sanitizing: Amount per Gallon
To sanitize with sodium metabisulfite, the general guideline is:
- Use 1 tablespoon (approximately 0.5 ounce or 14 grams) of sodium metabisulfite per 1 gallon of water.
This solution is effective for sanitizing winemaking and brewing equipment. After sanitizing, allow the equipment to drain and air-dry, or rinse if desired.
